Upholding the highest standards of publication ethics

Overview

Advances in Educational Inclusion and Equity is committed to upholding the highest standards of publication ethics. All Editorial Board members, authors, reviewers, and editors must adhere to the ethical guidelines established by the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE) and the International Committee of Medical Journal Editors (ICMJE).

Key Ethical Principles

Integrity

All research must be conducted with honesty, transparency, and accuracy.

Confidentiality

All submissions and related materials must be treated as confidential.

Fairness

All decisions must be made impartially and without bias.

Accountability

All stakeholders are responsible for their roles in the publishing process.

Specific Ethical Policies

Plagiarism Policy

All submissions are screened for plagiarism using advanced detection software. A similarity index of 20% or less is acceptable, with no more than 5% from a single source.

Conflict of Interest

All authors, reviewers, and editors must disclose any potential conflicts of interest. Failure to disclose may result in rejection or retraction.

AI Usage Policy

The use of generative AI tools must be disclosed in the methodology or acknowledgments section. AI cannot be listed as a co-author.

Data Availability

Authors are encouraged to make their data available to support reproducibility. A Data Availability Statement is required for all submissions.

Ethics Approval

Research involving human or animal subjects must have institutional ethics approval, and informed consent must be obtained.

COPE Compliance

Advances in Educational Inclusion and Equity follows the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE) guidelines for handling ethical concerns, misconduct, and publication integrity issues.
